The All Worn Out Jug Band

There’s nothing quite like Cape Cod’s All Worn Out Jug Band! Part of the “Post-Modern” Jug Band Movement, this crowd-pleasing crew cooks up an irresistible mix of Jug Band classics and American roots music — from old-time folk and toe-tapping Cajun tunes to down-home country and joyful gospel. Expect the full jug band experience: washboard, kazoos, slide whistles, and yes, a jug or two — all backed by a lively string section of guitar, mandolin, ukulele, fiddle, banjo, and the occasional concertina surprise.

 

Since 2000, they’ve been spreading good vibes all over Southern New England, lighting up festivals and local venues alike. Their latest CD has been spun on Boston’s WUMB, and they’ve jammed live on Provincetown’s WOMR. The current lineup — Gregory Baird, Kevin Howard, Mary Loebig, Mark van Bork, and Edmund Robinson — bring infectious energy and a playful spirit to the stage.
